Shark Engine competition - the best AI algorithm
Announces a competition for the best application used to predict the temperature of the sea surface based on historical data. The program should use artificial intelligence methods. It is recommended that the use of artificial neural networks. External free libraries for artificial neural networks, such as FANN (Fast Artificial Neural Network Library).

This program should be written in ANSI C / C++ (preferred ANSI C). It should only use standard libraries of these languages. This enables a simple compilation of the program on a variety of platforms (e.g. Windows, Linux, Solaris, OS X). Programs should be compiled using the gcc or g++ compiler (package GNU GCC).

Input data are from NOAA and NASA sources. Example input data are attached in input.bin [1] file. In the file are only floating-point numbers, determining particular Earth point temperature from 1st January 1983 to 31st December 1995. One variable determines average temperature in one day.
